What we hold
- Your account: email address, the name you chose, and a hashed password.
- Your subscription: its status and dates. Card details are held by Stripe, our payment processor. They never reach this site and we never see them.
- Your listening: which recordings you played and for how long, and whether you told us you fell asleep.
- If you contribute: your recordings, and the payout details you give us.
Why we hold the listening data
It is how contributors are paid. The contributor pot is divided by the time people actually spent listening, so that time has to be recorded. It also produces the sleep scores, and it stops the same recording being offered to you every night.
It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to build a profile of you. Contributors see totals only: how long their recordings were listened to and by how many people, never who listened or when.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no advertising trackers.
- No selling or renting of personal information, ever.
- No third-party analytics watching what you listen to.
- We store a one-way hash of your IP address for abuse prevention, not the address itself.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. If you arrived through a referral link, one more remembers which one, so that whoever told you about the site is credited. That is all of them.
Who else is involved
- Stripe processes payments and holds your card details.
- AbcPro, our parent company, receives sales reports so that referral commissions can be paid. Those reports carry the amount, the period and the referral code, and your email address only where it is needed to identify the account.
Your data
You can see and change your details on your account page. Ask us and we will send you a copy of what we hold, or delete your account. Records we have to keep for accounting, such as invoices and contributor payments, are kept for as long as the law requires.
