What this is
So So Boring is a subscription audio service operated at sosoboring.com. Subscribers may stream recordings from the library for personal listening. Contributors may upload recordings and earn a share of subscription revenue.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. One account is for one person; sharing a subscription is not permitted, and one listening session runs at a time.
The subscription
The subscription is $10.00 a month, charged monthly in advance, and renews until you cancel. Cancel from your account page at any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Prices may change, and a change is announced in advance and does not affect the month you are already in.
What you may not do
- Download, copy, re-publish or redistribute recordings from the library.
- Share your account, or use one subscription for several people.
- Attempt to inflate listening figures by any automated means. This affects what real contributors are paid, and accounts doing it are closed.
- Interfere with the service or attempt to reach it other than through the site itself.
If you contribute
You keep the rights to what you upload. By uploading you grant So So Boring a non-exclusive licence to store, stream and promote that recording to subscribers for as long as it is in the library. You may retire any of your recordings at any time, and it comes out immediately.
You confirm that what you upload is yours to upload: not a commercial audiobook, not somebody else's reading, and not containing anybody's private information. Recordings that break this are removed.
Payment to contributors is a share of net subscription revenue, divided by qualified listening time as described on the earnings page. No particular rate or amount is guaranteed, because it depends on subscriber numbers and on total listening across the library. Balances are paid on request once they pass the published minimum.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Recordings may be added to or removed from the library at any time.

This service is not a medical device and is not a treatment. It does not diagnose or treat insomnia or any other condition. If you have persistent difficulty sleeping, consult a doctor.
Ending an account
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Contributor balances already earned remain payable.
